Pen in Hand

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.   Aristotle

This is it - in a little more than eight hours I will be unemployed.  I'm not sure how this day will play out.  I do know that at the end of the day ends a chapter in my life.  This is bigger than the chapter of any book I've ever written - this is real.  What comes next is whatever I write.  I'm holding the pen in my hand but I'm not sure where to begin.  Maybe that will be tomorrow.

What a mixture of feelings! Happy sad, excited, scared, elated, nervous - you are a brave girl!

One day you will have to write about the moments when you left for the last time - was it quick like tearing off a band aid, or was five minutes worth a thousand words? I'm interested to know what your take was on it...

Happy "no work" anymore day!!

(Did you clean out your desk/cubicle? Or leave some of it behind for the next person? Hee, hee!)

Hey thanks - not no more work so much as no more pod!

And no - Other than generic office supplies, I left nothing for the new person except for my name tag on the door (and that only because I forgot all about it - I'm sure someone will throw it in the appropriate "bin" for me).
